What is your experience?
We understand that in the art of shaping skills comes with experience. Experience is something we have much of. March 21 Corp has been shaping and designing surfboards for over 20 years. Not only do we have years under our belt we also have experience by volume. We hand shape over 20,000 boards a year. From SUP to skimboards, if it rides on water the chances are we've made it. In the past 20 years our process of shaping and glassing has been refined into an art.
Where are your boards made?
We aren't going to skirt around this question. Our factory is located in China and we are proud of it. China boards are often associated with poor quality and low costs. This common misconception only applies to some China made products. China is actually also known for their craftsmanship. Our factory in China is owned and operated by March 21 Corp, so we have direct control over quality control. Our high quality is one thing we take pride in. We never cut corners to save a dollar. All our boards are hand shaped with care and love by surfers. From raw materials to finished product quality is our top priority. We only use the finest raw materials to begin.
Who is your shaper?
We have 30 shapers that shape for us. Most of them who's been shaping for us more than 15 years. There are two things that we believe make good shapers. One is experience and the other they must surf. Our shapers has had years of shaping under their belts, not to mention the variety of shapes that they shape and seen. Most of them have had personal one on one training with famous australian shapers. Our shapers know what works and what doesn't. Our shapers are also all surfers. If you don't surf how can you shape? We feel that an integral part of shaping is riding your and testing different shapes.
